As of March 1, 2025, Cova Spine and Pain Center will NO LONGER BE IN-NETWORK for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shields Plans.
What does “Out-of-Network” mean?
If claims are filed to your insurance:
- Claims may process to your out-of-network benefit.
- If applicable, some policies do not have out of network benefits
- Patients normally have higher out-of-pocket costs
- Higher copays, deductibles, co-insurances
- Insurance may leave the patient responsible for the full charge amount
- There will be no contractual adjustment – balance billing
- Some plans may deny for no authorization due to utilizing out-of-network providers.
- You will need to sign a waiver acknowledging that we are out-of-network, and you will have higher out-of-network costs, or will be responsible for the full cost of the service. You may also elect for us not to file your insurance and pay for services upfront.
